HOLY SHIT: Anthony Green and Frank Iero Team Up With Thursday and Coheed and Cambria Members for New Post-Hardcore Supergroup L.S. Dunes | The Noise

No stranger to stunning, jaw-dropping supergroups like The Sounds Of Animals Fighting, Fuckin Whatever, LeATHERMØUTH, Death Spells, and more, Anthony Green and Frank Iero are back yet again flexing their creative muscle with another new side-project – this time together for the very first time and with the help of some longtime friends.

Joining forces with Thursday bassist Tim Payne and drummer Tucker Rule as well as Coheed and Cambria guitarist Travis Stever, Green and Iero round out what is now known as the post-hardcore act, L.S. Dunes -- yes, this is 100% real and no, you are not dreaming.

Formed during the pandemic thanks in part to a 2020 Thursday holiday livestream, the group of skilled musicians later recorded their debut 11-track LP Past Lives with the help of producer extraordinaire Will Yip.

Commenting on his latest venture with My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero (the two previously collaborated on Frank Iero and the Future Violents), Thursday’s Tucker Rule said, “We wanted to do something where you can hear all our bands in it and yet, not have it sound like any one in particular.”

“Our roots are punk rock and hardcore,” he added, “and the vibe is hope for all the lost souls.”

For your first taste of L.S. Dunes before their highly anticipated album hits stores November 11th via Fantasy Records, check out the band’s gripping, high-energy lead single “Permanent Rebellion” below. To pre-order Past Lives, head here
